The Magadino Plain, the largest plain in Ticino located between Bellinzona and Lake Maggiore, is unique in Switzerland. Here, infrastructural development and agriculture coexist with the protected oasis of the Bolle di Magadino. The result is a landscape rich in contrasts, perfect for leisure and constantly evolving.

Flat, nearby, and easily accessible: explore the Park by bicycle along a charming 9 km route. Following the canal bank, you will pedal through tree-lined avenues, protected oases like the Demanio pond, and splendid biotopes, with the opportunity to stop at local producers to taste the flavors of the region. Hop in the saddle and come discover it!

Listen to the Park like you never have before. Walking or cycling along the bank, you will find 6 wooden platforms designed for stopping and immersing yourself in the acoustic landscape. From birdsong to the sounds of the countryside: experience a sensory journey unique in Ticino, test yourself, and enter our contest.
Nature Trail
An experience between nature and water,
to be enjoyed on foot or by bicycle.
An itinerary immersed in greenery that follows the course of the Ticino River, an element that unites and characterizes the entire landscape. Through 22 stages and corresponding information panels, the trail offers the opportunity to stop, observe, and learn firsthand about the environmental features of the territory.

I Have a Plan! is a project created by DFA SUPSI for the Magadino Plain Park. The Park serves as an ideal location for school visits, a living laboratory for observing and experimenting with phenomena related to water, agriculture, biology, and history in a context that is unique in all of Switzerland.
